Anxiety & Stress Management Services

Anxiety and stress can show up in many ways: constant worry, racing thoughts, tension in your body, or a feeling that you can never fully relax or be present. It can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself and the life you want to be living. You may experience panic attacks, constant second-guessing of yourself, or withdrawal from the parts of your life you used to enjoy.

You might benefit from anxiety therapy if you:

  • Feel constantly worried, on edge, or overwhelmed
  • Experience racing thoughts, worst-case thinking, or difficulty relaxing
  • Struggle with panic, restlessness, or physical tension
  • Avoid situations, decisions, or conversations due of fear or “what if” thoughts
  • Feel pressure to be perfect or experience fear making mistakes
  • Have difficulty quieting your mind or staying present
  • Want tools to manage anxiety while also understanding where it comes from

During our therapy sessions, we’ll take time to understand how anxiety and stress show up for you, gently explore what’s beneath the anxiety, and work toward helping you feel more grounded, confident, and at ease. I’ll provide you with tools to manage anxiety and stress, challenge anxious thoughts, and work with you to address the underlying beliefs that may be fueling your anxiety.

I typically treat anxiety using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and relaxation techniques.

Not all of these modalities will work for every client, but together we’ll explore and identify the tools and strategies that will work best for you.

Medication is also an option to treat anxiety, however I am not a prescriber and unable to assist with medication management.

Evidence-based treatments for anxiety (such as CBT, ACT, DBT, and ERP therapy) are highly effective in reducing symptoms and improving quality of life for many individuals. Most clients experience significant relief from their anxiety symptoms with consistent treatment and a commitment to the therapeutic process.
